Howard Moscoe has announced that he will not be running for re-election in this year’s Toronto election. Sensing that a right wing regime is heading towards city council and sensing that if Rob Ford was to win that the office expenses will be dramatically cut, Moscoe, who has always spent towards the maximum of his office expenses, would have less taxpayer funds to siphon and thus figured it was better to just walk away with his exorbitant pension.
The Toronto Star wrote a glowing article basically bowing down to Moscoe’s greatness never once mentioning his spending habits or controversial comments made recently basically implying that if Ford was to get elected, he would have no support from other councilors and that he would be a mayor in name only. Moscoe believes that with so many left wing councilors elected, they would all simply ignore the incoming mayor’s agenda and focus on their own.
Originally Howard Moscoe was an elementary school teacher before turning to politics. I guess the old adage, ‘those who can do, those who can’t teach’, can be finished with, ‘those who can’t teach, go into politics’.
Good Bye Howard, don’t let the big doors of the council chambers hit you in the ass on the way out!

Still taking from the public with that healthy pension:( At least he knows when the blank cheque days are vaporizing…Guess he realized a coup against Ford if he took the mayor’s chair wouldn’t go over well in a democracy?Hope he pays for his own retirement bash!

  • Howard Moscoe almost only came to City Hall for monthly votes and Miller’s executive committee this past 4 year term because of his heart condition.

There really should be attendance records for these politicians because if they won’t come into work maybe they shouldn’t be paid?
