Established in 1995 The Toronto Raptors have remained as Canada’s only professional basketball team and the NBA’s only non American team. Although the team has experience successful periods since their inception, they have endured many up and down eras with the changes of ownerships and constant front office turnover.
In it’s history the team has had a number of star players but many have left the team for various reasons always leaving the team to rebuild.
The Raptors have a strong fan base but has struggled to maintain the casual fan since ownership was taken over in 1998 by Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment (MLSE) the same owners as the Toronto Maple Leafs. With ticket prices being a constant concern for the public, and another rebuilding era on the way, the Raptors will struggle to attract the average fan to the games.
